Vinted Members Express Anger Over Sizing Updates
Shoppers are voicing their frustration due to a modification that led to products showing incorrect sizing.
The second-hand shopping app has updated its sizing categories for female and kids' apparel failing to inform every member regarding the update.
Digital Channels Backlash
Countless users and merchants are posting online saying Vinted listings now show a modified sizing category versus the original listing because of the remapping.
Vinted explained the new system was more in line with comparable marketplaces.
The platform has recommended to review their products and adjust the sizing manually if necessary, which has left users frustrated.
Size Classification Updates
Earlier, the sizing featured one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes an alphabetical indicator and numerical range for example S/UK 8-10.
With some products, the size labels have been reassigned - like an L measurement used to be a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.

A fashion influencer, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, stated items she posted with size 14 tags were showing in the marketplace as measurements 20-22.
"Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they will likely be quite upset," she stated.
Required Changes
Another shopper, located in England, said she had been left angered due to the update requiring manual adjustment the sizes on "every single listing".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, as I'm chronically ill and selling on Vinted has been paramount for me since losing part of my income," she stated.
Platform Context
The app has more than 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK.
It has emerged as a preferred choice compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion where an unanticipated change on the platform has faced criticism: previously, the platform withdrew an update regarding delivery choices after backlash from users.
